Taking a ride on the Algoma Central Railway or just visiting Sault Ste. Marie? Be sure to grab a swimsuit, fishing gear, camera, cross-country skis or snowmobile (depending on the season) and head up Highway 17 North.

Travel another 56km (35mi) to Batchawana and Pancake Bay to explore miles of safe, sandy beach and picnic. Take your pick of hotels and motels, cabins and resorts for your overnight stay. Further up Highway 17 North is Montreal River Harbour and Wawa, prime touring country for the do-it-yourself fall colour tour during mid-September to mid-October. Lush green forest transfrom magcially into an explosion of spectacular fall colours - fiery oranges, scarlett reds and golden yellows.
