Pancake Bay Provincial Park

View Pancake Bay Provincial Park in a larger map

Located on the east shore of Lake Superior, this sheltered sandy bay boasts of superb sand beach, nature trails, a playground and overnight camping. From the Lookout Trail viewing platform, see the lake and the spot where the famed Edmund Fitzgerald sank in the fierce November gale of 1975. Over a century ago, voyageurs would stop at the bay with just enough flour left to make pancakes before restocking supplies in nearby Sault Ste. Marie.

Group camping site reservations are taken annually starting on May 1st for the current spring to fall camping season.
