White Lake Provincial Park
An inland park, White Lake is a sheltered basin of sandy beaches, swimming spots and a premier location for fishing walleye and northern pike. It is a popular park for both travelers and locals. Once a rich source of furs and lumber, White Lake now offers natural treasures like orchids and bogs with insect-eating plants. Plan for a seven-day canoe trip along the White River to view all the natural wonders!
Wildlife viewing is abundant: moose, fox, porcupine and beaver are often seen by park visitors. Birders can glimpse loons, osprey, bald eagles and great blue herons fishing the waters. Owls, ruffed grouse, woodpeckers and many songbirds can be seen in the forests.
