The Shoals Provincial Park

Located between Wawa and Chapleau, the Shoals is a quiet, scenic park that offers peace and relaxation. Sandy shoals, or shallows, makes Little Wawa Lake the ideal place for a swim. Beyond Little Wawa, canoeists can follow marked portages to picturesque lakes for fishing and backcountry camping. A short trail near the main campground leads to a wetland full of colourful plants. The park is a haven for birds: osprey, bald eagle, great blue heron and species of hawk and owl. Wildlife residents of the park include moose, red fox, lynx, beaver, otter and timber wolf.

There are campsites along the shores of Little Wawa Lake.
