Hunting in Northern Ontario


The hunting season in Northern Ontario begins as the leaves turn color! Generally, Algoma Country offers three different types of Northern Ontario hunting adventures: small game, waterfowl, and big game. Most open seasons for the different types of hunting adventures in Northern Ontario being in mid-September.
Even though the hunting season runs until mid-December, you can probably expect to see snow on the ground in the middle of November; this just makes hunting and tracking the species you're after a lot easier in Northern Ontario!
