Hiawatha Highlands

Located in the north end of Sault Ste. Marie, 40 km of Nordic ski trails (2 km of which is lit until 9:30pm nightly) and 7 km of snowshoe trails, traverse the 3,000 acres located just 20 minutes north of the Michigan/Ontario International border. Our trail system caters to both the beginner and advanced skier, and welcomes all types of Nordic skiing. Whichever trail you decide to use, you will be surrounded by the soothing sounds of whispering pines, the magnificent views of the ice falls and constant breathtaking scenery of this true winter wonderland.
