Loch Island Lodge

Loch Island Lodge

Get away from it all in the world's largest game preserve! Spread out over five different locations on the south half of Wabatongushi Lake, Loch Island Lodge / Camp Lochalsh offers some of the most comprehensive fishing, hunting and nature packages in Northeastern Ontario. With a wide variety of options, ranging from full service American Plan to outpost Housekeeping Plan, we cover it all. Wabatongushi Lake is the headwaters of the Michipicoten River, which flows south into Lake Superior. The next lake above of us flows north to James Bay. Being along the watershed provides us with clear, spring fed waters uncontaminated by man made incursions. The entire lake stretches 22 miles in length and has both shallow, weedy bays perfect for Northern Pike and rocky drop offs adjacent to very deep water which makes it perfect for feisty Walleye. Whitefish, Perch, Speckled Trout and Smallmouth Bass fishing is also offered.
