Rail Excursions

The rugged wilderness of Algoma Country awaits you on this amazing rail trip! Over the course of the 114 mile rail trip to Agawa Canyon Park, you will be travelling through the lush flora of the Great Lakes/St. Lawrence Forest region and the granite rock formations of the Canadian Shield. Although wildlife is plentiful in the area, most large mammals are frightened away by the noise of the train so most of your sightings will be limited to birds or animals in the distance.
Enjoy a two hour stopover in the pristine beauty of Agawa Canyon Wilderness Park during the summer and fall months. Canyon Park is located at mile 114 and is only accessible by rail. During your stopover, your train seats will be turned for the return trip. The park has a variety of trails that lead to the most scenic spots, including four waterfalls and the breathtaking lookout.
