Join The Kensington Conservancy (TKC) for a Birding Big Day and help raise funds for bird conservation in the Central Algoma area! The goal is to complete a “big day”, which is where you go out and record as many different bird species as you can throughout the day. This will be a friendly competition in an effort to raise funds to help protect local birds.
You do not have to be an expert birder to participate. You can do it either solo or as a team. If you are participating as a team, we encourage it only be with members of your household and you follow all necessary precautions as part of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Date: September 12th, 2020
Time: All Day
Location: Echo Bay to Thessalon, including Highway 638 and St. Joseph Island.
Cost: Donation
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be no potluck following this year’s event. All results will be emailed in, where they will be compiled and sent back to all participants.
