Canada Day Celebrations

Held on the beautiful North Shore of Lake Huron at the Blind River Marina. The event begins at Noon with a variety of activities for everyone including Kids Karaoke, a watermelon eating contest and bean bag toss. With help from the Gagnon Family, this year’s event will also feature a Ribfest, backhoe competition, beer gardens, volleyball tournament and a scavenger hunt. Officiating ceremonies begin at 1 pm with a Canada Day parade led by the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 189 Colour Party, followed by the singing of the National Anthem. Welcome speeches from Federeal, Provincial and local elected officials will also take place. Hundreds of cupcakes are handed out to visitors by Town officials!
Everyone unites at the Marina at dusk for the beautiful light show at the Festivals of Sails. Celebrations close with a spectacular fireworks display over the waters of Lake Huron.
