Opposites Attract!
The first half of the program will feature violinist Erica Mancuso, a graduate of the Glenn Gould School, and a Conservatory faculty member, performing The Lark Ascending by Vaughan Williams – one of the most beautiful compositions in the classical repertoire – as well as the captivating work – Arvo Pärt’s Fratres, supported by some of the finest local string players (Victoria Jones & Kim Bell – violins, Vincent Feletti – viola, Rebekka Fry – cello and Martin Virta – string bass).
After intermission, the Josh Norling Jazz Quartet is featured (Josh Norling, Frank Deresti, Lindsay Pugh, and Cliff Alloy) with American Songbook classics and some of Josh’s original compositions. Josh Norling is also a Conservatory faculty member.
