Kicking off 2024 at the Clio Art Fair in Manhattan, Art by Amy Williams has officially started her show at Blind River’s TVM GALLERY!
We are thrilled to have more of Amy’s works in the Gallery for her new exhibition: Landscapes of Algoma. Mark your calendars; her art exhibition begins on September 6th and runs until November 1st.
Amy Williams is a full time artist living and working in Sault Ste. Marie. She has always been inspired by nature and loved making art from an early age. After high school she pursued a one year art fundamentals program. Unsure of her next steps, Amy eventually pursued education to become a teacher, teaching and travelling the world with her husband until the birth of their daughter in 2013.
A critical turning point in Amy’s life occurred in 2016 when she welcomed spontaneous triplet boys, 3 months early. This life changing experience altered her family’s path completely. With 4 children 2 and under, including one little boy with significant medical needs, life was incredibly challenging and art took a back seat for a number of years. Amy believes that this part of her life has had the greatest influence on the art she creates.
“It is incredibly important to me that I make joyful, vibrant pieces that invoke happiness and delight. The many highs and lows of parenting premature multiples coupled with my love of nature has truly inspired the positivity in each and every single piece I create.”
