Making Waves” Sets Sail to Support Local Charities in Sault Ste. Marie.
Get ready for an evening of glamour and goodwill aboard the “Miss Marie” on October 5th as Making Waves Cruise sets sail, supporting local charities dedicated to families and children in our community. Organized by a coalition of small businesses including Captivate Images, 705 Live Sound Co, Compass Imaging Group & Sign Solutions, SooToday.com, and, Stone Age Construction and The Saturday Nights, this exclusive event aims to raise awareness and funds for impactful local charities.
One charity will sail away with everything. The Children’s Aid Society of Algoma, Thrive, Algoma family services as well as Community Living Algoma have shortlisted a group of charities impact, family, and community in Sault Ste. Marie
The shortlisted charities are as follows:
Harvest Algoma
Women In Crisis
The Soup Kitchen
Pauline’s Place
Everyone will meet at the Northern Superior Taproom at 5:30 PM. Bus will shuttle to the event at approximately 6:30 PM. Once on the vessel, each individual will be allowed to vote for one of the four charities. after the event has concluded, a bus will again shuttle participants to the taproom. At which time the vote will be tabulated, and a charity will be given all of the proceeds. The Making Waves Cruise promises an enchanting 70s yacht glam experience, featuring live music from The Saturday Nights, catering by Stone Age, and appearances by local media personalities.
Be sure to be dressed and in your 70s/80s Yacht Glam themed atire!
