Ready to take on the ultimate ultramarathon challenge?

The SOO 200 isn’t just a race—it’s the kind of challenge that will leave you questioning your sanity and pushing your limits. This 200-mile test of physical and mental endurance will push you further than ever before. With real-time race tracking, your supporters can follow your progress every step of the way. It’s you versus the wild terrain, relentless conditions, and a course that doesn’t care about excuses.

No shortcuts, no easy way out—just pure toughness from start to finish.

The SOO 200 celebrates the land and waters of the Sault Ste. Marie and Algoma area. Known for the tough land of the Canadian shield, and stunning coastal landscapes, the SOO 200 will challenge all athletes. This is also Eastern Canada’s only 200-miler, and a sister event of The Divide 200.

The course is a combination of single track, double track, dirt road, cross-country, and even a bit of bushwhacking and coastal running. There will be some short sections of route-finding, even though it is a prescribed course; the terrain can just be really gnarly out there.

Checkpoints are every 20 to 40km apart, depending on the section of the race. Competitors are required to carry a Garmin inReach for both route-finding and safety.

The race will begin at Searchmont Resort and end at the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre. The full route is here.
