For big milers, the North Shore Loop is the perfect place for the weekend warrior. You can connect Sudbury and the Sault Ste. Marie area, taking the southern route just above Lake Huron in one direction and then returning on the more remote north route through Elliot Lake. This exciting trip is made up of great staging areas, scenic vistas over the North Channel of Lake Huron and a side loop on St. Joseph Island with a connection to Drummond Island, USA via the Ice Bridge.
Another ultimate snowmobile ride is from the Sault Ste. Marie area in the direction of Hearst on two-to five-day epic snow adventures on remote wilderness trails known as the “All The Way There” ride. Several options are available, depending on your venturesome spirit, each expertly mapped out on the algomacountry.com website.
The 105-mile/169-kilometer Soo Highlands Loop is the region’s newest day loop. It allows riders to experience the rugged landscapes of Algoma Country that are close to the area’s largest urban center.
