Richards Landing
Richards Landing is one of two communities located on beautiful St. Joseph Island. The last island in the chain of Manitoulin is linked by a bridge with breathtaking views on both sides. Richards Landing is just a short ride after the bridge and is fully outfitted with every amenity a traveller would want.
You will find unique shops and eateries in Richards Landing, historic sites of interest, as well as many exciting events and festivals during the summer and fall months. Annual art shows, music festivals, maple syrup festival, the Go North Music Festival, and the “Just Passin’ Through” concert series are a few of the must-attend events each year. Great places to stay are all located here including a campground. This waterfront community is a haven for boaters, bicyclists and touring vacationers as it truly is a small community with a big heart that will welcome each visitor.
Larger than just the community the Township of St. Joseph was incorporated in 1876. Richards Landing is the largest settlement on the Island and provides a wide range of services to the locals and visitors alike.
The Richards Landing Municipal Marina is a full-service marina with showers and laundry, pump out, free internet service for boaters, bicycle rentals, and exceptional waterfront dining, all within steps of the downtown business area.
Of special note, the view of the Bridge and the St. Joseph Channel is not to be missed. Be sure to bring your camera!
