Rail Excursions
One of the most popular train tours in Northern America is the famous Agawa Canyon Tour Train that departs from Algoma’s largest municipality, Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. Beginning at the end of June and running seven days per week to mid-October, you can embark on a one day wilderness train excursion that transports riders 114 miles through the Algoma wilderness over a towering trestle, alongside northern lakes and rivers, through granite rock formations to beautiful Agawa Canyon.
When winter moves into Algoma, you can travel through our winter wonderland on a breathtaking train tour. Imagine this unique ride where you will experience our wilderness clad in beautiful white snow and seemingly alive with rock formations bathed in sparkling ice.
You can book your tickets for any of these rail experiences by visiting Algoma Central Railway, or if you are looking for a package that includes accommodations in Sault Ste Marie, it’s as simple as visiting Canyon Holiday Tour Packages.
