AlgomaTrad continues its winter/spring concert series at the AlgomaTrad Centre, 1249 F&G Line, St. Joseph Island, by featuring Abigail Lapell, Friday, May 8th at 7:30 pm.
Abigail Lapell, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, is releasing her new recording “Shadow Child”, the extended companion to her 2024 JUNO-nominated and Canadian Folk Music Album of the Year, “Anniversary”. Combining cynical and sentimental elements, the collection ultimately emerges as an earnest celebration of love. The past six years and four spellbinding releases, Lapell has garnered five Canadian Folk Music Awards and accrued a staggering 60 million streams across online platforms. She tours regularly across Canada, the U.S. and Europe. Lucky for us, her CD release date is exactly on May 8th, and we get to celebrate with her!
Concert tickets are: $28.25 General Admission, $25 Seniors, $20 Students, 12 & under free (all prices include HST). Pay What You Can (PWYC) at the door – This is a subsidized ticket price to make our concerts accessible and inclusive. You can make a contribution at the door the evening of the concerts.

AlgomaTrad poursuit sa série de concerts hiver/printemps au Centre AlgomaTrad, 1249 F&G Line, île Saint-Joseph, en présentant Abigail Lapell, le vendredi 8 mai.
Abigail Lapell, auteure-compositrice et multi-instrumentiste, lance son nouvel album « Shadow Child », une version enrichie de son précédent opus « Anniversary », nominé aux prix JUNO 2024 et élu Album folk canadien de l’année 2024. Mêlant avec émotion et sensibilité, ce recueil se révèle être une véritable ode à l’amour. Au cours des six dernières années et à travers quatre albums captivants, Lapell a remporté cinq prix de musique folk canadienne et cumulé l’impressionnant total de 60 millions d’écoutes en ligne. Elle se produit régulièrement au Canada, aux États-Unis et en Europe. Bonne nouvelle : la sortie de son CD est prévue pour le 8 mai, et nous pourrons célébrer cet événement avec elle !
Les billets de concert sont à 28,25 $ (admission générale), 25 $ (aînés), 20 $ (étudiants) et gratuits pour les enfants de 12 ans et moins (tous les prix incluent la TVH). Prix libre à l’entrée : ce tarif réduit permet de rendre nos concerts accessibles à tous. Vous pouvez faire un don à l’entrée le soir du concert.
