Fall Kids Fishing Derby

This annual FREE event we look forward to each and every year as it introduces the sport of fishing to so many kids that may have never held a rod in their hand before.
All fishing rods and bait are provided by the Club, and kids will be introduced to jigging, and catching fish as well as have the opportunity to see a fish being filleted and cleaned to be taken home for dinner!
This event is held annually in early October at the Kinsmen Park Pond just north of Sault Ste. Marie.
Kids and their families will also have the opportunity to be introduced to Fish Conservation, Youth Archery, as well as learn about Invasive Species in our region.
This a FREE event that offers Kids 14 & Under:
- Introduction to Fishing for Kids
- Introduction to Fish Cleaning
- Catch and Release or Keep Fishing
- Introduction to Fish / Environmental Conservation
- Basic Compass Orientation instructions with Sault Search and Rescue
- Youth Archery Event with Sault North Archery Club
- Invasive Species Booth & Activities
