Hurt: A Tribute To Johnny Cash is a theatrical production of Johnny Cash in his later years takes the audience back to his younger self in two fictional performances.
An older Johnny Cash is getting ready for his last performance and finds himself distracted by how time has gone by so fast. Taking the audience on a journey through two (fictional) past performances from when he was younger, capturing the heart of his songs and touching on key points in Johnny Cash’s life. This captivating theatre performance takes the audience through a two hour journey including a brief intermission. In his first memories, he recalls leaving Sun Records and first starting out with Columbia where he was on tour with June Carter and playing many old hit songs. Later, Older Johnny Cash remembers a time when he was well known as the “Man in Black” going back again to the younger memories in the second half of the show. Hurt brings in the performance 27 great songs such as “Ring of Fire”, “Cry, Cry, Cry,” “Folsom Prison Blues”, and many more with guest appearance by June Carter (Cash). Enjoy the show as you are taken back to a time of the Legend, Johnny Cash.
