Featuring:

The Janzen Boys – Thursday, July 10th, 2025 – 7:30 pm $20.00 each

The Janzen Boys have been playing music together since the very beginning, but it started as “The Janzen Boys” shortly after they moved back to Canada from Japan in 2012. They’re a rootsy, harmony-singing folk trio from Winnipeg, Manitoba, consisting of brothers Simon and Mick, and father JJ. Whether they’re playing at music festivals, theatres, venues, or intimate house concerts, they’ll have you laughing, crying, and singing along to classics that you know and love, and catchy original tunes that’ll be stuck in your head for days!

Zachary Lucky – Thursday, August 14th, 2025 – 7:30 pm $20.00 each

Zachary Lucky is unapologetically old-school country, armed with a husky, baritone voice – He often receives comparisons to songwriters such as Gordon Lightfoot and Kris Kristofferson. He sings of Canadian places and people as knowingly as he might Townes Van Zandt or the Rio Grande. It’s a relatable show on many levels, and conjures universal feelings that have passed through our collective timelines. Already hailed as a master storyteller by outlets ranging from No Depression to The Globe and Mail, Zachary is becoming a legend in his own right and has safely reserved his spot at the table of Canadian roots royalty.

Shawna Caspi – Monday, August 25th, 2025 – 7:30 pm $20.00 each

Toronto-based singer-songwriter Shawna Caspi takes her time crafting lyrics that are poetic and meaningful, often using unusual rhymes and surprising turns of phrase. She spent years on the road playing solo shows at festivals and in concert halls, train cars, backyards, and living rooms, supporting her warm, clear voice with intricate fingerstyle guitar accompaniment, and drawing energy from shifting landscapes and long drives through Canada and the United States. After taking a break from the road to rest, reflect, and write, Shawna returns with her fifth album, Hurricane Coming, a collection of raw, deeply personal songs set against a backdrop of colourful cinematic soundscapes. Shawna also created a series of abstract paintings inspired by the songs on the album, seamlessly combining her work as a musician and visual artist.

Simon Kempston – Thursday, October 10th, 2025 – 7:30 pm $20.00 each

Simon Kempston is ‘one of Scotland’s very best songwriters’ (The Sunday Herald), a composer and ‘a master of fingerstyle guitar’ (The Scotsman) based in Edinburgh, Scotland.

There are very few artists who manage to create a sound on an acoustic guitar which is distinctive, instantly recognisable. Simon’s complex finger-picking style, which draws from the disparate genres of classical, celtic and blues (amongst others) confirms he is certainly one such artist, his subtle style providing the perfect accompaniment for his rich, powerful and compelling tenor vocals.

His outstanding songs showcase thought-provoking, inspiring poetic lyrics which often sidestep the usual themes of love and attraction, in favour of offering crucial, important political and social commentary. Fascinations with architecture, travel and English literature have all informed his impressive lyrical style, words which can stand alone as poetry in their own right apart from the music.
