The annual Wild Game Dinner is the star event of the year and occurs every January on the last Saturday of the month.

The dinner features wild game meat. Each dish is cooked according to traditional recipes and each is skillfully created for the most discriminating tastes.

The dinner event begins with appetizers of smoked meats, goose fingers, soups and smoked fish. The dinner offers a widely diverse array of wild meat complemented by vegetable, salads, bread, desserts, tea and coffee. All of the dinner and evenings events are the product of countless volunteer hours and donations of game and auction items. Throughout the evening, a cash bar is available.

Following the dinner, there are silent auctions and a live auction of items that interest outdoor sports enthusiasts, arts and crafts collectors and people skilled in the trades and do-it-yourself projects. The evening includes draws – one for a gun or bow and one for a filled wheel-barrow ‘survival kit.’

Tickets for the dinner are sold the first Saturday of January at the Conservation Centre. The fact that they usually sell out within a half hour attests to the popularity of the dinner.

The dinner is hosted at the Legion in Richard’s Landing.
