The Shoals Provincial Park

Located between Wawa and Chapleau, the Shoals is a quiet, scenic park that offers peace and relaxation. Sandy shoals, or shallows, makes Little Wawa Lake the ideal place for a swim. Beyond Little Wawa, canoeists can follow marked portages to picturesque lakes for fishing. The park is a haven for birds: osprey, bald eagle, great blue heron and species of hawk and owl. Wildlife residents of the park include moose, red fox, lynx, beaver, otter and timber wolf.
