Forest The Canoe embraces all the “True North” experiences that Northern Ontario’s natural world has to offer. Creating connections between people, place, and the natural world – through interpretation, education, and experience. Guided nature tours and camping trips for your everyday outdoor enthusiast in Northern Ontario, operated out of our base camp and rental supplies location in Goulais River, Ontario. Our services are available on the Eastern shore of Lake Superior from Sault Ste. Marie to Lake Superior Provincial Park.

Forest The Canoe offers both winter and summer experiences with interpretive snowshoe tours, outfitting and rentals, interpretive guided camping trips, shuttles, glamping and custom outdoor experiences. Forest the Canoe all started when life partners Shana Shipperbottom and Ryan Walker wanted to live a more nature-based lifestyle and create a way to share their passion and love for the outdoors. “The Walkerbottoms”, are both trained interpretive guides, experienced backcountry campers, and have backgrounds working in social services and adult education.
