Fly-in Fishing
| Follow @AlgomaRegion |
For decades, the bushplane has been transporting fishermen, explorers, prospectors and adventurers into Northern Ontario’s remote lakes. Today, the bushplane is still the only way to access Algoma’s many fine fishing lakes, adding to this exciting adventure.
A fly-in fishing trip begins on a dock with you and your gear loaded into the plane then taking off to your specially selected, secluded destination. High above the Algoma Region, dense forests, rocky hills, deep gorges, blue-green lakes and meadows lay below you. Algoma’s dedicated fly-in fishing operators will exceed expectations, whether you choose a rustic outpost cabin or a full service luxury lodge. Besides spectacular fishing, the potential for complete solitude is one of the appeals of the fly-in fishing adventure. Imagine just you and no one else for miles around on a Canadian lake!
Modern air services are manned by experienced bush pilots who fly out of Sault Ste. Marie, Wawa, White River, Hornepayne, Hawk Junction, Chapleau, Algoma Mills and Elliot Lake.
Fly-in fishing packages are available and convenient when planning your fishing trip; just visit one of our fly-in fishing operators for details.
