The Algoma region truly loves winter and snowmobiling! Our trail system consists over 2,000 miles of groomed trails carved through the rugged Canadian Shield and old growth forests. We are a Sledders Paradise: No traffic, friendly faces, awesome trails and sled friendly accommodations. Our snowmobile season lasts longer than other parts of Ontario, usually well into late March.

Powder Hound
If you’re looking for a unique on-trail and off-trail experience, look no further than Top Secret Boondocking in Wawa. As Ontario’s first playground, riders will experience the best in backcountry riding. Long track sleds can be rented at Jones Powersports in Wawa if you want to enjoy a day of playing in the powder.

North Shore Loop
The new North Shore Loop is the perfect place for the weekend warrior. Lay down fresh tracks on perfectly groomed ribbons of please and ride where no one else has ridden before. This exciting trip is made up of great staging areas, scenic vistas over the North Channel of Lake Huron and a side loop on St. Joseph Island with a connection to Drummond Island, USA via the Ice Bridge. For all the riders that loved Halfway Haven, or always wanted to experience it, Halfway Haven has re-opened. Pack up your sled and once again ride from Sault Ste. Marie, or Searchmont, Ontario and enjoy this legendary remote lodge. From Halfway Haven, you can now ride to either Wawa, or Chapleau, Ontario. Whichever direction you choose, you’re going to enjoy the awesome snowmobile trails in this region.
