The rapids of the St. Marys River are a mecca for fly fishers. The river is home to Atlantic and a range of Pacific Salmon that will readily come to a fly or lure. The salmon runs begin in July and go right into October each year. Best of all, you can stay at a local hotel in downtown Sault Ste. Marie and easily walk down to the river.
